Each entering class is composed of exceptionally accomplished people who bring a vast spectrum of experiences and perspectives to the Law School community. To aid in constructing a diverse and interesting class, we require a personal statement. This statement provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate the ways in which you can contribute your talents and experiences to the Law School. Successful applicants have elaborated on significant personal, academic, and professional experiences; meaningful intellectual interests and extracurricular activities; factors inspiring them to obtain a legal education; and significant obstacles, challenges, or disadvantages met and overcome.
Under the supervision of an attorney with the Ag Center, a student will be expected to perform legal research, write memoranda, develop compliance assistance materials, respond to inquiries from the regulated community, and participate as appropriate in meetings, conferences, and training sessions with EPA, other federal agencies, trade associations, etc.
Students must have completed three semesters of law school. Preference will be given to students who have completed Environmental Law or administrative Law. Eligible interested students will then be screened and selected.

The course will introduce students to a comparative look at the basic structure and legal systems in Ireland and the US. The field of Advocacy is rapidly expanding as evidenced by the adoption of affirmative advocacy programs in Ireland as well as the U.
An example of the topics covered include: The course will also focus on the prosecutions under both the European and US systems as well as a discussion of the influence of crimes on international trade, business and a comparative look at the role of advocacy in those systems.
Students will be exposed to advocacy for persons with disabilities that include a comparative look at the Ireland and US systems with resulting effects on business and trade. Finally the course will involve review and discussion of the global considerations for Advocacy. Students prepare pleadings and represent federal ndigent criminal defendants.
Students will be expected to perform legal research, to write memoranda, motions and briefs, to observe and to appropriately participate in trials,pre-trial hearings, motion hearings and, in general, to assist in litigation.
Students must meet eligibility requirements and be certified in compliance with the Local Federal Rules of Court. Students must have completed three semesters of law school and must be in the upper half of their class.
